The first post of any blog is always the most embarrasing 3 years down the line, my aplogies to my future self but this is for posterity.
42 DHR Solutions is born from 20 years experiance working in Project and Programme management across a wide range of market sectors in the UK. and 10 years prior to that working in construction as a Quantity Surveyor. I have always been a builder of things.
This approach is deliberate. Ideas and examples from one area crossing over to a new area to provide innovative solutions or a new way of looking at a problem which can unlock potencial which can be missed when people are working in specialist areas with others who also have the same background.
At least I have managed to explain ‘Solutions’ in a paragraph, 42 is a resonable approximation of the number of solutions which could be applied to any business problem at any given time. It is of course also the ‘answer’ as well which is always handy if you are looking for one. Feel free to check out Douglas Adams work if you are unsure of the cultural reference.
This practice and indeed the future is definately running as a Programme. That is there are outcomes which I want to acheive and workstreams which require effort in order to bring me closer to those outcomes. It’s a holistic Programme, it takes in the business world but also family, friends, the environment and the health and wellbeing of people around the world.
As with all programmes while we have a fair idea of the answer there is a large amount of detail missing between here are there. I intend to blog regularly as these workstreams materialise, I hope that in time the themes resonate with people and a dialouge is started. With my holistic theory that dialouge can change the delivery of the programme and influence the outcomes in ways I cannot even begin to imagine at present.
That’s why this is such a great adventure and even if this is a conversation with myself, it will prove most worthwhile and add structure to the venture.
